I used to be a graphic designer. I did it for many years, built my own business, and was good at it in the way you get good at anything you've done for long enough. Then I sold the business and went straight into spiritual healing, with no idea how it would work or who would come. From the outside it probably looked reckless. From the inside the path was so strong and clear that staying put would have been harder, though it still took every bit of courage I had.
It worked out. I've worked with so many remarkable people, and I wouldn't swap a day of it. So you'd think I'd have this trusting business sorted by now, wouldn't you? I certainly assumed that having jumped once, the next leap would be easy.
It turns out the path asks again. The career part of my chart sits in Gemini, the sign of the twins, which has never been content with one of anything, and my art has been asking for a much bigger seat at the table. Part of me is terrified. It's very easy to stay comfortable in the learning phase, where there's always one more technique to master before putting yourself properly out there. Learning is lovely. It's also an excellent place to hide.
What surprised me is that the fear turned up in the middle of a good life. I'm happy and grateful, and most of my days have a lot of joy in them. I'd quietly assumed fear belonged to the stuck years, and that once things were going well I'd be finished with it. Instead, each new level seems to bring the same question back in a bigger voice: do you trust this, even though you can't see where it lands?
I can't see where it lands. I don't know exactly what this chapter looks like with healing and art both in it, and that's scary and exciting in about equal measure. If you're in a good place and can still feel something pulling at you, I suspect you know exactly what I mean.
If something is pulling at you and fear keeps getting in the way, book a session, or explore my 21-day healing journeys.
The thing we want most is the thing we're most defended against. How the wall works, and how to let one thing through.
I used to give readings and guidance. I don't any more. Here's why healing took over, and why I think it serves you better.
New directions rarely arrive as big revelations. They arrive as a thought that keeps returning. How to tend it without needing the whole plan.
