The healing world can be a wild place.
There are endless tools, programmes, frameworks and formulas, all promising freedom, clarity or peace. I love that we have access to all of it. But there's a point where healing can start to feel like another full-time job.
We get so busy working on ourselves that we forget how to be ourselves.
I see it all the time. People who've done years of inner work and can tell you exactly what's wrong, where it came from, and which past life probably kicked it off.
They've read every book, seen every practitioner, and can name every emotional pattern under the sun. And they still feel stuck.
Why? Because they're healing in their head.
When we stay up in the mind, we loop. We analyse. We overthink. We go around and around the same story with no exit door. And all that going over it can keep the energy stirred up and stop it from shifting.
The body is where the healing happens. Always.
Every emotion you've ever had has left an energetic imprint somewhere inside you. It might show up as tightness in your chest, tension in your jaw, a heaviness in your gut.
Those sensations aren't random. They're your body saying, "Hey, this needs to move."
When we get curious about what the body is trying to tell us, and actually feel it, the energy starts to release. The emotion completes its cycle. And the story finally loses its grip.
That's the real work I do with people. Helping them find the blocks, the stuck emotions, the energy that's been frozen in time. Once that energy moves, there's no charge around it. The story doesn't sting. The memory doesn't pull you under.
If we're trying to think our way out of a feeling, we're missing the whole point.
Healing happens when we feel. When we breathe. When we cry, shake, move, laugh, dance, create. Whatever your body needs to move the energy through.
You can't logic your way into wholeness.
It's easy to get hooked on healing. To feel like there's always one more block to clear, one more belief to dissolve, one more trauma to process.
At some point we have to stop hunting for what's wrong and start trusting what's right. We have to let ourselves live.
Life is never going to be smooth. It's not meant to be. We didn't come here for a tidy, easy ride. We came for the adventure. The mess. The joy and the heartbreak and the weird little moments in between.
So instead of asking, "What do I need to fix next?" try asking, "What do I need to feel right now?"
And after you've felt it, really felt it, ask, "How can I move forward with the awareness I already have?"
You're allowed to graduate from the constant fixing.
You didn't come here to be healed. You came here to be alive.
There are times in all of our lives when we struggle like crazy to contain our frustration, anger, resentment, jealousy ...
Guilt says "I made a mistake." Shame says "I am the mistake." Where we brace against being seen, and how shame starts to let go.
Healing is messy and layered, more cha-cha than straight line. A map of the nine stages, so you know where you are is okay.
