Ten years ago, I was four months away from turning 40. And I was drowning.
I had a graphic design and website business that looked okay from the outside. On the inside it was a constant struggle. I was working full-time, burning out slowly, and trying to hold everything together while raising two small children, with a husband who was often away for work.
The business was always just hanging on. Robbing Peter to pay Paul.
The three months between deciding to sell and finally letting go were some of the longest, hardest days of my life. I was exhausted. Emotionally, mentally, physically done. And somewhere in all of that, I had completely lost myself.
I truly didn't. I thought the world was happening to me. I thought struggle was just part of the package.
I'd started learning some spiritual practices a couple of years earlier, but I was nowhere near where I needed to be. I didn't trust the process. I didn't even trust myself.
I felt isolated. And I felt like I was constantly failing at every part of life.
Because I know a lot of people feel this way right now. Burnt out. Stretched thin. Doing everything for everyone and barely hanging on.
I want you to know it doesn't have to stay this way.
I have two parts to my work, my healing practice and my art, and I absolutely love them both. They're not hobbies. They're my career.
I get to spend time with my family, stress-free! I have freedom, space, connection and creativity. I get to support others on their healing journey, and that fills me up every single day.
None of this happened by accident.
And no, I'm not perfect. There's still plenty to work on. But I'm not where I was. Not even close.
Looking back, I can see how every little shift added up. Every time I chose to do the deeper work. Every time I sat with a belief and gently unravelled it. Every time I trusted myself enough to take the next step, even when it felt shaky.
I'm not done. I'll never be done. Not because I'm broken, but because I'm growing.
Keep going. You're not failing. You're becoming. And it's so worth it.
If you're where I was, overwhelmed, exhausted, and quietly wondering if it's all just too much, please know this. You can change everything. Not all at once. Little by little, day by day, with love and intention and support.
If you don't start today, tomorrow will look just like yesterday. If you take even one small step, the next ten years could change everything.
You are so worth it!
I think the big moments are locked in. How hard they land is up to us. The more you clear, the less drama life needs to get your attention.
The vow to protect a small child can feel like control to a teenager. Why our closest bonds need updating, and the one question to ask.
Your guides don't step in unless you ask. When to ask, what to ask for, and why the simple act of asking starts things moving.
